Who We Are
Drills and Skills Ministries was founded on the belief that every child carries gifts — and that the right environment, the right support, and the right tools can help those gifts change the world.
We serve children, student athletes, military families, and learners of every age across the country and throughout the world. We offer free learning tools, faith formation, career transition programs, National Bible Bee participation support, and more. We meet people where they are — and walk with them toward who they are becoming.
"Our goal is not just better grades or better athletes. Our goal is whole people — spiritually grounded, academically equipped, and ready to serve their communities."
— Founder, Drills and Skills MinistriesOur Foundation
Every program is rooted in Christian values and the belief that spiritual foundation is the bedrock of a flourishing life. We build character alongside competence.
We believe everyone can excel with the right support. Our free learning tools give student athletes and underserved learners the academic foundation they need to succeed.
No child grows alone. We build community among youth, families, and faith partners — creating belonging and accountability that extends far beyond the classroom.
What We Offer
From a child learning their first scripture verse to an adult retraining for a changing workforce, every program at Drills and Skills Ministries is designed to meet people where they are and take them further than they imagined.
All Ages · Free Access
We do not offer on-site tutoring. Instead, we give students free access to the learning tools we built — give them a try.
The Cognitive Ramps Studio helps learners organize their thinking and work through any subject, and the Reading Ramp is a patient, shame-free reading coach for students who struggle with reading. Both fit a busy student-athlete's schedule and support learners of every age and ability.

The National Bible Bee runs its own summer study each year. Volunteers privately host small groups of children who work through the program's Summer Study Discovery Journals, memorize a set of verses, and take a qualifying test — and those who qualify can advance to the national competition in the fall.
We do not run the Bible Bee; we help families reach it. Many never get the chance simply because they do not know how it works, cannot cover the enrollment fee, or have no one nearby to host a group. We provide the information, the resources, and the fee assistance that make taking part possible.

Each summer, children can join a Bible Bee study group — but for many families the barrier is simple and quiet: the enrollment fee, the Summer Study Discovery Journals, and the materials a host pays for out of pocket to run the group. Those costs lock real children out.
Drills and Skills Ministries raises and distributes funds specifically to remove that barrier. No child should miss a summer study because their family cannot cover the enrollment fee, and no host should have to carry the cost of resources alone.

We advise families, schools, churches, and youth-serving organizations on academic support strategies, student athlete development, Bible-based educational programming, and navigating school systems on behalf of children with special needs.

The National Bible Bee is a separate national program with its own enrollment process. Each summer, volunteers privately host small groups of children who work through the Bible Bee's Summer Study Discovery Journals, memorize Scripture, and prepare for a qualifying test that can open the door to the national competition each fall.
Our role is to help families take part. For many, the obstacles are information and cost: hosts often pay for resources out of their own pockets, and enrollment fees leave some children — especially in under-resourced churches — locked out before they ever begin. We close that gap by alleviating any financial barriers for participating Bible Bee hosts and families.
"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
— Psalm 119:105Help memorizing the program's Scripture at a steady, encouraging pace that builds confidence instead of pressure.
Support working through the Bible Bee's Summer Study Discovery Journals and preparing for the qualifying test that can lead to the national competition.
Resources and guidance for families to support Bible Bee preparation at home — making Scripture a family practice, not just a competition.
Enrollment fees and out-of-pocket resource costs keep many children from ever joining. We help cover those fees and supply materials so money is never the reason a child misses out.
Student Athletes
We believe the greatest athletes are the ones who are excellent in every arena — not just the field or the court, but the classroom, the community, and their character. Our programs support student athletes in every dimension of their development.
Free access to our Cognitive Ramps Studio and Reading Ramp — learning tools built to fit a student-athlete's demanding schedule.
Faith-based character programs that develop leadership, integrity, and resilience on and off the field.

Resources for coaches on academic accountability, student wellness, and integrating character development into athletic programs.
Financial Assistance
Drills and Skills Ministries awards need-based tuition assistance to qualifying individuals for educational programs, academic enrichment, and faith-based educational opportunities.
We believe that financial hardship should never be the reason a child misses the education they deserve. Our assistance program exists to close that gap.
